Vendor Notebook: Cerner rolls out solution to improve data security

The QuadraMed Corporation, a Reston, Va.-based provider of healthcare information and revenue cycle management solutions, has announced the general availability of Quantim Workflow, part of Quantim Health Information Management solutions, designed to allow single- and multi-facility hospitals to automate the distribution and allocation of coding, compliance and other HIM work assignments.

Medication Management Systems, Inc., based in Minneapolis, has announced that Prime Therapeutics LLC, an Eagan, Minn.-based pharmacy benefit manager, will use MMS’ Assurance System to improve the safe and effective use of medications for nearly 1 million Blue Cross and Blue Shield members under Medicare Part D drug benefit plans administered by Prime.

Quantros, a San Francisco-based provider of safety and quality software and professional services for the healthcare industry, has launched a new healthcare IT consulting division, to be led by software industry veteran Michael Tulloch and based in Marlborough, Mass.

NextGen Healthcare Information Systems of Horsham, Pa., a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, Inc., has announced that the NextGen Electronic Health Record, version 5.6, has been pre-market conditionally certified by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology as a 2011 Ambulatory EHR, as well as being certified for Child Health and Cardiovascular Medicine with Advanced Reporting. The company also announced that the CCHIT has rated the NextGen EHR version 5.6 at five out of five stars for usability.

Entra Health Systems of San Diego has announced the official launch of the Telstra Diabetes Management Online Service in Australia, an integration of the company’s MyGlucoHealth Wireless meter and mobile technology.
