Johns Hopkins hiring 65 positions for ambulatory EMR rollout
Johns Hopkins Medicine is looking to fill a variety of “strategic positions” as it prepares to implement EHR modules from Verona, Wis.-based Epic across its ambulatory system over the next 18 months.
The rollout will include modules for ambulatory electronic medical record, registration and scheduling, patient portal and related clinical analytics and clinical research.
In preparation, JHM is hiring approximately 65 positions for the initial Epic Implementation Team, which officials say will require “various levels of technical, business and clinical operations expertise.”
Open positions include:
- Epic Application Coordinators (Levels I, II, III and Lead)
- Epic Principal Trainers
- Epic Report Writers
- Epic Programmer Analysts (Levels A, B, C and D) and Software Engineers
- Epic Administrative and Managerial Positions
Those chosen to join the initial Implementation team will undergo Epic Certification, “a rigorous and professionally rewarding achievement that will help you advance your career and gain valuable leadership experience,” according to JHM.
According to officials, full implementation of the EMR system will occur over the next three-to-five years.
