MQ Health adopts MediRecords clinical record system

MQ Health is adopting the clinical record system of cloud health software company MediRecords.

Based on a media release, MediRecords was chosen via a competitive tender process to support MQ Health's 18 outpatient clinics. 

The Macquarie University-owned hospital will also integrate its existing EMR solution by InterSystems with MediRecords. 

SA Health integrates Salesforce, Mulesoft into upcoming e-Referrals system

SA Health is launching next month its cloud-based e-Referrals system that standardises the workflow of referrals from GPs across South Australia.

Designed by cloud solutions and application development provider Mav3rik, the system is built on Salesforce Health Cloud and Mulesoft and is integrated with the secure messaging service HealthLink. It also incorporates the referral Clinical Prioritisation Criteria.

The solution is expected to deliver task-specific and time-specific information to the correct outpatient stakeholders, thus streamlining the referral process. Using the EMR system, the system will also automate the transfer of referrals between clinicians and administration user groups through to the designated Outpatient Service for scheduling.

Alcidion, Olinqua unveil new hospital ops command solution 

Health tech solutions providers Alcidion and Olinqua have partnered to come up with a new hospital operations command solution. 

Through a strategic partnership, the companies developed Miya Central, a plug-and-play solution for managing and optimising hospital operations. It is designed to improve patient care, enhance staff experience, and shorten ED waiting times, according to Alcidion CEO and MD Kate Quirke.

Based on a media release, the cloud-based solution provides hospitals with the predictive and prescriptive analytic capability to "identify operational inefficiencies, make data-driven decisions, and drive continuous improvement."

"The consolidation of hospital-wide data will empower both automated processes and human decision-making, providing hospital leaders with full transparency across clinical and operational fronts. It will enable swift responses to medical and engineering emergencies across the hospital, reduce ambulance ramping and patient flow delays, and generally optimise other day-to-day business processes," explained Olinqua CEO Jemma Iles.

More South Island care providers take up Centrik's Well patient app

Primary care provider Silverstream Medical Centre in Canterbury and Travis Medical Centre, a GP based in Christchurch, have launched the mobile patient app Well powered by Centrik. 

The Well app enables users to access their health summary, book and check in for appointments, request repeat prescriptions, and message their care team.
