Private providers in Thailand, Russia sign telehealth collab

Two large private healthcare providers in Thailand and Russia have partnered to cooperate in such areas as telehealth and medical tourism.

Bangkok Dusit Medical Services, a network of 58 hospitals in Thailand, and Medsi Group, which runs 148 medical clinics including a digital clinic in Russia, formalised cooperation in providing medical services to their patients in their respective countries. This includes providing teleconsultations, second expert opinion, and continuous care.

Their memorandum of understanding also aims to boost their countries' medical tourism.

Narayana Health brings contact centre to cloud

Bangalore-based private hospital group Narayana Health has transitioned its contact centre to the cloud as part of its digitalisation.

Based on a media release, the group adopted a cloud solution by Genesys to consolidate its previous contact centre systems and handle over 50,000 client calls daily.

The group, which caters to over four million patients yearly, required a solution to "effectively manage a network of diverse partners operating on disparate systems."

Turning to a cloud platform has provided them with a unified view of all customer interactions and saw handle times reduced significantly by 15% on average. The platform, which features comprehensive analytics, predictive routing, and reporting tools, provided insights into patient interactions and operational performance.

Narayana Health is now considering implementing a chatbot that facilitates connection between patients and care coordinators for more complex queries.
