Australia-based Synergy Radiology has implemented an integrated communication and clinical workflow platform by health tech company Foxo.

The cloud-based enterprise platform offers a tailored and customisable solution to healthcare organisations that enables real-time communication with triaging and rapid protocolling. It is also interoperable with radiology information systems (RIS).

Citing findings from a commissioned report, Foxo says its platform has helped cut down administrative work for radiology firms by 94% and the time for scheduling appointments by 68%.

The Foxo platform is now being used in over 120 healthcare locations across Australia and New Zealand.

WHY IT MATTERS

After a successful pilot, the Foxo platform has now been fully integrated into Synergy's RIS, connecting more than 250 employees across the company's 10 offices in Sydney.

"After a swift 30-day rollout, our radiologists realised significant workflow efficiencies via Foxo’s rapid and integrated platform," Synergy Radiology Director Prash Menon shared in a statement. "The platform was easy to use and customise and we were able to achieve instant and measurable results," he claimed.

Moreover, integrating the communication platform into its RIS saw reduced administrative burden for their clinical team while feeling secure with its internal communication system.

THE LARGER TREND

In July last year, Foxo teamed up with population health informatics company Pen CS to bring its mobile communication platform onto clinical decision support system Topbar. The integration gives its clients immediate access to instant messaging, video calls, referrals, and booking features.

The health communication developer also reported raising $3 million in October which will fund its commercial growth, product development, and brand expansion efforts this year.

In other related news, Synergy Radiology has recently entered into a collaboration with Sydney Neuroimaging Analysis Centre to develop new AI radiology solutions by combining their tech offerings.
