The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Financial Services Center has tapped CNSI to help overhaul its claims processing technology. This five-year, $44 million contract calls for CNSI to implement a modern and efficient processing tool for VA-FSC that can better prepare and adjudicate claims submitted by providers, officials say.

The company will also work to migrate existing and potential customers into a centralized processing system for the VA, replacing its legacy commercial-of-the-shelf claims adjudication system.

The contract calls for standards-based and configurable technology to meet the needs of the FSC and its customers, according to CNSI – which also recently secured a 4-plus year contract $35 million project to engineer the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' encounter data processing system.
