Greenway Health to unveil care coordination services at HIMSS17
Greenway Health, a vendor of EHR, practice management, analytics and other technologies, has revealed that it will unveil a new service centered on care coordination at HIMSS17.
“We will be introducing Greenway Care Coordination Services, starting with a service designed to help our customers participate in the Medicare chronic care management program by enabling the monthly 20-minutes of non-face-time that is required by that program,” said Mark Janiszewski, executive vice president of product management at Greenway Health. “This will help providers take part in the program and offer to their patients a monthly service that helps ensure the patients are adhering to their chronic disease management care protocols.”
Janiszewski added that a theme the Greenway Health team intends to stress at HIMSS17 will be preparedness.
“Readiness for the new MIPS and MACRA program,” he said. “The new program requires you get ready to adopt 2015-certified technology at a minimum before the beginning of 2018, and while it incorporates a few of the former programs it also expands quite a bit to include practice improvement activities. These activities are a new thing a lot of providers haven’t had to do before, and a lot of discovery and learning has to go on there.”
Janiszewski urged healthcare executives that have not already started planning for chronic care management and new payment models to do so sooner rather than later.
“Ultimately, it’s about better outcomes, lower costs and improved quality, so we need to keep our eyes on that outcome to make sure everything we’re doing is heading in that direction,” he added.
