Aurora Health Care, Startup Health kick off innovation challenge to create personalized population health platform
Aurora Health Care and Startup Health put out a call for innovations to integrate with what the companies termed a personalized population health platform slated to launch in 2017.
With the platform, Aurora and Startup Health intend to provide targeted care to Aurora’s patient population and the surrounding community in Wisconsin.
Aurora’s director of strategic innovations Michael Rodgers said in a statement that the companies are looking to supercharge how they enable patients use new and emerging technologies.
To that end, Aurora and Startup Health are hoping to identify innovators capable of tapping into multiple data streams, collecting data from the patient populations and, ultimately, running analytics against those datasets to create individual patient profiles and personalized treatment plans. The organizations are also looking for innovators savvy in leveraging existing hospital and community programs to help people live healthier lives.

Startups may apply online until July 20, 2016 at StartUpHealth.com/Aurora; winners will be announced in the fall of 2016.
Selected companies will be invited to StartUp Health Academy’s lifetime coaching program for Healthcare Transformers and receive access to Aurora’s internal commercialization, IT and innovation teams.
“We’re looking forward to working with the next generation of Healthcare Transformers to help create the Personalized Population Health Platform of the future,” Rodgers said.
