Miriam Paramore
Miriam Paramore is a seasoned executive with 30+ years of experience in healthcare and deep expertise in health information technology. As COO and interim CTO, she is responsible for day-to-day operations and technology at Lucro, a market network that reinvents the connection between buyers and sellers in healthcare so that the industry can innovate faster. She is a Senior Advisor at NueCura Partners, a Nashville-based healthcare angel investment company, where she works the spectrum from deal sourcing (two of her deals funded in 2015) through diligence and operational management. She is also an advisor to RxREVU, an early-stage prescription decision support company.
Previously, Paramore was Executive Vice President of Care Rx™ for PDX, focused on consumer-centric wellness and medical services delivered in a convenient, retail point-of-care setting. During her prior tenure as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Product Management at Emdeon, she reported to the CEO and helped lead the company to over $1.2 billion in revenues and an IPO. Paramore is the author of the revenue cycle provisions of the Affordable Care Act that require healthcare insurers to pay healthcare providers via electronic funds transfer rather than via costly paper checks. She is an author “Introduction to Healthcare Information Enabling Technologies” published by HIMSS.
She is the architect of The U.S. Healthcare Efficiency Index™, an industry forum for measuring the efficiency of healthcare business processes and is a national speaker. Paramore has served as an advisor to key Congressional committees and the Congressional Budget Office on HIT and healthcare administrative. Paramore has held many Board positions including: CareSource Management Group, a Medicaid managed care organization, HIMSS, the Louisville Health Information Exchange, and the eHealth Advisory Committee for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. In addition, she is a member of the inaugural class of the Nashville Health Care Fellows Program and a member of Deloitte’s Life Sciences and Healthcare Women to Watch.
