LAS VEGAS – IT giant Oracle unveiled its Oracle Healthcare Foundation Tuesday at HIMSS16 a next-generation version of Oracle Enterprise Healthcare Analytics that provides healthcare organizations with a consistent and complete patient-centric view of their clinical, financial and genomics data across an enterprise.

The modular data integration and analytics system is designed to help various types of professionals throughout an organization study clinical care, perform financial analyses, streamline administrative services and support research efforts. The aim of Oracle Healthcare Foundation is to enable an entire healthcare organization to treat each patient with a personal touch while achieving high-quality, value-based care in an operationally efficient environment, the vendor said.

“Innovation moves from possible to real when patients can benefit from scientific advances in genomics and value-based care,” said Steve Rosenberg, senior vice president and general manager of Oracle Health Sciences. “Utilizing Oracle Healthcare Foundation as a common data integration and analytics platform, each member of the organization can focus on solving his or her unique problems through actionable insight. Patients and providers win when the entire organization leverages its collective knowledge to affect outcomes and costs.”

The new system brings together data from a variety of source systems and includes pre-built functions that enable data mapping from these systems. This approach, according to Oracle, shortens client implementation time and provides more value from the client’s current system investments. A high level of data governance and accuracy helps ensure rapid generation of meaningful insights with reduced delays in integrating disparate information systems, Oracle added.

The Oracle Healthcare Foundation platform provides a common information foundation with data captured once and made available to every team member across an enterprise for analysis and use, the vendor said. This way, every member can perform his or her role on behalf of every patient served by a health system to support population health analytics, care coordination and shared-risk models, Oracle said.
