Barts Health NHS Trust, the largest trust in England, will work with Sectra to supply its facilities with radiology IT and vendor neutral archiving (VNA) solutions.

Six hospitals compose Barts Health NHS Trust, serving 2.5 million people in the London area. The Sectra solution will help Barts Health improve the efficiency of its imaging workflow and enable cost savings through the sharing of resources.

The contract includes Sectra PACS, an IT solution for the management of radiology images; Sectra Open Archive, a VNA solution for long-term image storage and Sectra DoseTrack, a web-based solution that allows the trust to monitor patient radiation doses. It connects any DICOM-compliant image storage system, providing an infrastructure for more efficient workflows across enterprises.

Sectra PACS will facilitate the transparent and secure access of images and patient information from any Barts Health site. Barts Health will also be connected to other Sectra PACS users in London, such as The Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Trust and The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust.
