Capsule, the Andover, Mass.-based provider of medical device connectivity, announced the release of its low acuity application, a key component of their Enterprise Device Connectivity Solution, enabled by the Capsule Neuron platform. It features a design that integrates with hospitals’ clinical workflow processes and leverages its current technology and infrastructure investments.

The renamed company holds international patents on its cornerstone product, an interoperable electronic medical record of the same company name, MedcomSoft Record UE, which is deployed in hundreds of physician practices and networks across the United States and Canada.

SunCrest Healthcare, Inc., based in Nashville, a leading regional provider of home health, private duty, companion care and therapy services, has selected Philips to be their provider of telehealth monitors for their home care patients.

McKesson, of San Francisco, has launched Practice Partner Connect, which provides an interoperability platform for physician practices to more securely exchange information with other practices, patients, hospitals, and payers. The new platform is part of Version 9.3.3 of Practice Partner, McKesson’s award-winning electronic health record.

Wellsoft Corporation, of Somerset, NJ, has announced that its Medication Verification & Exchange feature has been successfully integrated with MedsTracker from Tukwila, Washington-based Design Clinicals, Inc. at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey.

Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Bergen County, NJ will replace its clinical systems with McKesson’s CPOE, bar-code medication administration and clinical documentation solutions. Plans also call for the implementation of McKesson’s Horizon Enterprise Revenue Management and its strategic business intelligence solution.

Perceptive Software of Shawnee, Kansas, a creator of enterprise content management software including ImageNow, announces that Yale-New Haven Hospital will utilize its ECM solutions in several departments within the hospital, including patient registration, patient finance, pre-admission testing and OR scheduling.

INFINITT North America, of Phillipsburg, NJ, the Web-based image and information management company, and peerVue, Inc. of Sarasota, Florida, a provider of workflow, quality and communications software, announced that they have executed an integration agreement that will enable Infinitt PACS users to launch peerVue qiVue directly from the PACS workstation.
