Deette "Dee" Emon has been named vice president and chief information officer at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Currently the health system's chief clinical information officer, Emon replaces CIO Chad Eckes, who was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. Emon will be responsible for the IT division's strategic development and management, technology systems and processes as they apply to support of the medical center.

Emon joined Wake Forest Baptist in spring 2014.
