Illumisys, LLC, a San Francisco-based health information technology consulting firm, has announced that it will provide planning, training and implementation project management services to the Alta Bates Medical Group of San Francisco to implement a rapid cycle of physician adoption and deployment strategies along with consolidation of various technology solutions.

MEDHOST, an Addison, Texas-based provider of Emergency Department Information Systems (EDIS), has been selected as a Microsoft Managed Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner.

MDdatacor, Inc. of Atlanta has received a notice of allowance on a patent from the U.S. Patent Office for a key component of the company's proprietary CareInformatix technology platform.

ACM, based in Minneapolis, has signed a new three-year contract with Blue Shield of California to use the company's e-Precision claims technology to make it easier for providers to submit claims for complex services, such as home infusion treatment, to the not-for-profit health plan.

Spheris, based in Franklin, Tenn., has announced the resignations of two members of its board of directors to assure compliance with regulatory requirements. The two members are affiliated with Warburg Pincus, which owns a 60-percent stake in Spheris stock and has a large portfolio of healthcare and technology companies that includes Nuance Communications, a potential competitor to Spheris.

Panorama Software, a Toronto-based provider of business intelligence software, has released NoveView Version 5.5, the newest version of its flagship suite of BI applications.

TriCipher, a Los Gatos, Calif.-based provider of strong authentication services, has announced the creation of the first SAFE-BioPharma "roaming" credential to be accepted by the U.S. Federal Public Key Infrastructure Policy Authority, the interagency body that enforces digital certificate standards for trusted identity authentication across federal agencies and between federal agencies and outside organizations.

Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. of Orange County, Calif. and Mirapoint, based in Sunnyvale, Calif., have announced a strategic partnership to instgrate AVST's CALLXPRESS Unified Communications platform with Mirapoint's Message Server.

The Medsphere Systems Corp. of Aliso Viejo, Calif. has announced a partnership with WebReach, Inc., an Irvine, Calif.-based  provider of healthcare IT consulting services and open-source healthcare IT solutions, to use WebReach's Mirth healthcare messaging integration engine to support Medsphere's OpenVista electronic health record.
