Vendor Notebook - Meta Health delivers patient chart software to Pakistan

Meta Health Technology, a New York-based developer of health information management solutions, has announced that Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, has licensed the company's patient chart abstracting software - the company's first contract in Asia. In addition, South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, N.Y., has implemented Meta's Electronic Physician Query software.

GE Healthcare of Barrington, Ill., has signed a multi-million-dollar agreement with Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Wash., for the Centricity suite of solutions for EMR, HIE, patient portal and financial management.

The Eclipsys Corporation of Atlanta has announced that the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Exchange (CCHIT) has classified Eclipsys' PeakPractice solution, version 1093, as a conditionally certified 08 ambulatory electronic health record product, pending completion of advanced e-prescribing requirements. In addition, PeakPractice has met the CCHIT's EHR criteria for office-based use.

NaviNet, a Cambridge, Mass.-based developer of real-time healthcare communications, has received the Phase II clearinghouse product Certification Seal from the CAQH Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE).

Ontario Systems, a Muncie, Ind.-based provider of revenue cycle and collection management solutions, has announced an alliance with the Microsoft Corporation that allows Ontario to incorporate the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform into its software suite.
