Sectra signs multi-year PACS agreement with leading US provider
Swedish IT and medical-technology company Sectra has been selected by Wooster Community Hospital of Wooster, Ohio, as its PACS provider.
Through the five year agreement Sectra will supply PACS products and direct service and support to Wooster Community Hospital, a 150-bed full-service acute care hospital offering a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services across multiple facilities.
Wooster Community Hospital has been named a Thompson Reuters Top 100 Hospital for the 2nd year in a row.
"Wooster Community Hospital operates on the principal of delivering convenient, quality healthcare services to all people in an efficient and responsive manner," said Dave Harrison, director of radiology at Wooster Community Hospital.
"We needed a unified PACS platform that would evolve to meet the growing demands of our environment; delivering images via the hospitals network, and more importantly through the web. WCH strongly believes that Sectra will enhance that evolution as we move to the future with our patients and physicians."
Sectra North America President Dr John Goble said: "Wooster Community Hospital is representative of many leading healthcare institutions in the US today. "While the current environment has created additional financial and social pressures, the need to deliver high-quality efficient healthcare to an expanding patient population is more pressing than ever."
