Recent trends in the marketplace are forcing hospitals and healthcare systems around the country to rethink the role of the Internet in their relationships with physicians and patients, according to a recently released study.Manhattan Research conducted the survey, calling the resulting report, "The Future of Digital Medicine: The Role of ‘E' in Hospitals and Health Systems."Both healthcare consumers and physicians expect hospitals to step up to the Web with useful information and portals that offer physicians pertinent data and tools to help them provide better care.
