Kaiser Permanente announced that Bernard J. Tyson, current chief executive officer, has assumed the role of chairman of the board of directors of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan. Prior to being named CEO, he served as president and chief operating officer. 

Mark Schaefer, who has overseen various Medicaid projects for the Connecitcut Department of Social Services, will become the new director of healthcare innovation for Connecticut.

Rocky King, Cover Oregon's executive director, gave notice of his resignation on Jan. 1.

After more than six years as the CEO of Porter Health Care System, Jonathan Nalli has resigned to accept a new position as president and CEO at St. Vincent Health in Indianapolis.

Allegheny Health Network named Marcie S. Caplan the CEO of Canonsburg Hospital. She was a senior vice president for physician strategy and program development at Jefferson Hospital before her promotion.

Humana announced that Chris Hunter has been appointed senior vice president and chief strategy officer. He most recently served as the president of provider markets at TriZetto.

Marquette General Health System has named Ed Banos CEO. He has served as president and chief operating officer of MGH since May.

Tim Allen has been appointed CEO of Ochsner-St. Anne Hospital in New Orleans; Jonathan Carothers will become the hospital's chief operating officer.

The Ambassador Health System announced the promotion of Marcia Schroeder to CEO.
