The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT appointed Genevieve Morris as its new principal deputy national coordinator, according to the agency’s leadership page.

She most recently served as director of health IT firm Audacious Inquiry. Morris has spent 10 years in health IT policy, program management, interoperability, meaningful use and the Quality Payment Programs.
At Audacious Inquiry, Morris worked directly with the ONC to develop policies and standards. She also wrote reports in support of the State Health Information Exchange Program.
Morris marks the ONC’s third political appointment under the Trump administration. In March, Rucker was named National Coordinator and Former Louisiana Rep. John Fleming was named deputy assistant for health technology reform.
