Staying on top of critical information is key to giving patients better care. Several software developers have released new versions of their products aimed at helping healthcare providers not only gather information, but also use it to provide better care.
Tempus Software, based in Jacksonville, Fla., announced the release of version 7.1 of its flagship product, TempusOne, a healthcare scheduling application. In addition to an integrated Rehab Scheduling Module, the new version also includes improvements for managing patient insurance policies and increased ease of patient pre-registration during the scheduling process.
The Rehab Scheduler is an integrated feature that provides a new way to schedule treatment, particularly focused on series treatment and rehabilitation. With a dual window view, healthcare staff can see all selected procedures and resources in a tree view, as well as detail by day, week, or two-week increments any resources linked to a procedure in the tree.
Medical informatics company TheraDoc, Inc, based in Salt Lake City, has launched a comprehensive adverse drug event surveillance software, called ADE Assistant. The technology is designed to perform automated trigger-based surveillance and enhanced voluntary reporting of adverse drug events in hospitalized patients.
As the newest addition to TheraDoc’s suite of knowledge modules, this decision-support software features automated documentation, archiving and alerting capabilities. ADE Assistant integrates with multiple clinical information and ancillary systems.
Quest Software, which provides application management solutions released its Vista Plus Suite to facilitate legacy report conversion and help organizations meet regulatory compliance standards.
Vista Plus version 5.2 delivers new features to help organizations meet regulatory compliance standards related to the management of application-generated reports. These features include user activity and audit reports, and extended hyperlinking capabilities. Quest Software headquarters are in Irvine, Calif.
Oracle Corp. launched Oracle Clinical Remote Data Capture (RDC) version 4.5, a release that executives at the Redwood Shores, Calif. company say features major advances in usability, form design and support for international trials. Pfizer Inc. co-sponsored the development of the new release and will use the product for most of their future clinical trials.
