HIMSS18 innovation symposium to feature Aneesh Chopra, Jacob Reider, Rasu Shrestha
Innovation has always been a topic health IT executives and professionals gravitate toward and HIMSS18 will be no different.
The pre-conference symposium titled “Innovation as a Strategic Imperative,” is one example. Experts will explore the many ways healthcare organizations are embracing new approaches.
Expert presenters will discuss innovation types, models, applications and offer examples of successful programs. They’ll give pointers on how to get started and, in turn, build on successes.
Former U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra, now president of CareJourney, will kick the talks off with an opening keynote looking at the many ways today’s innovations will ultimately tackle tomorrow’s challenges.
The symposium also features half-a-dozen speakers addressing topics ranging from creating a culture of innovation, succeeding even with sparse resources, tribal leadership, and design thinking.
Other experts include: UPMC chief innovation officer Rasu Shrestha, MD, former deputy national coordinator Jacob Reider, MD, now CEO of the Alliance for Better Health, Amy Cueva, founder and CXO of Mad*Pow founder and CXO Amy Cueva, P3 Health Partners chief transformation officer Dave Logan, National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved senior advisor Mandi Bishop, California Department of Public Health communications director Tamara Srzentic, and others.
HIMSS own Indu Subaiya, executive vice president of Health 2.0, will conclude the day with the keynote, “Health Happens Everywhere.”
The HIMSS18 “Innovation Symposium: Innovation as a Strategic Imperative,” takes place in Las Vegas from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 5 at the Venetian Galileo 901. Register here
