HealthTap, a virtual care service provider, has expanded its platform to include multiple participants, medical specialists and language translation, the company announced on Tuesday.

Patients can also bring in their own physicians to the network when they sign into the platform, according to officials. And the new version enables multiple doctors, specialists, caregiviers and family members to communicate simultaneously.

Palo Alto-based HealthTap has initially contracted with interpreters of 21 different languages that include Russian, Spanish, Urdu and American Sign Language, amongst others.

To use this new ability, patients can schedule and confirm the appointment through HealthTap Concierge and select the option for a translator.

“We’ll continue to evolve our Health Operating System and our services and products to serve healthcare people and healthcare systems worldwide,” Ron Gutman, HealthTap’s founder and CEO said in a statement.
