NUH adopts AI triage tool to treat stroke faster

The National University Hospital in Singapore has been using an AI-powered triage tool to quickly identify stroke patients in need of endovascular treatment.

The hospital, which sees more than 1,000 ischaemic stroke patients each year, has set a target of getting at least half of those patients to receive appropriate treatment within an hour of arriving. 

To better meet its target, NUH adopted RapidAI, which processes brain CT scans in less than a minute. Since using the technology in February, over 400 stroke treatments have been promptly administered in the hospital.

HMI Group forays into digital health with MHC acquisition

Health Management International, a regional healthcare provider in Southeast Asia, has recently acquired Singaporean health tech company MHC Asia Group.

This acquisition will allow HMI to tap into Southeast Asia's growing digital health market, which is projected to be worth about $11 billion by 2027.

The combined entities are now serving three million patients each year across a range of digital and physical services, ranging from telemedicine, diagnostics, and health screening to primary, specialist, ambulatory, and in-patient care.

"With an integrated healthcare platform supported by the latest technology, we will be able to introduce new care models to better engage and support our patients throughout their healthcare journey," said HMI Group CEO Chin Wei Jia.

National Hospital Indonesia secures mobile apps, patient data with AppSealing

National Hospital Indonesia has recently deployed a security solution to protect its mobile apps and patient data.

AppSealing is now making the hospital HIPAA-compliant by providing advanced security measures to protect its mobile apps and customers' protected health information from malicious attacks. The solution provides code obfuscation, anti-tampering, and anti-debugging, among other security features.

Dozee introducing RPM tech to nurses' group 

Dozee has tied up with the Association of Nurse Executives in India, a national organisation of nurse leaders, to get them to adopt emerging technologies, including remote patient monitoring. 

The partnership comes as the 500-member association highlights the need to get nurses familiarised with new technologies to empower them to provide quality patient care.

Dozee has so far trained over 5,000 Indian nurses in using advanced RPM with AI as part of its mission to transform healthcare delivery

India's Health Ministry unveils healthcare education platform 

India's Union Ministry of Health has launched a new healthcare education platform. 

Called SAKSHAM (Stimulating Advanced Knowledge for Sustainable Health Management), the learning management information system provides online training and medical education to health professionals across the country. 

The platform currently offers more than 200 public health and 100 clinical courses.
