Dunedin Hospital data and digital gets $60M more
The New Zealand government is investing an additional NZ$97 million ($60 million) in the digital and data infrastructure of the upcoming Dunedin Hospital.
This comes as Minister of Health Dr Ayesha Verrall announced follow-up funding for the new NZ$1.68 billion ($1 billion) hospital in Dunedin, which is the country's largest health infrastructure project to date.
An additional NZ$10 million ($6 million) is also being set aside to deliver more MRI machines to the hospital and for the complete fit-out of its collaborative workspace.
Mobile CPD app launched for GPs in Australia
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners has launched a mobile CPD app for GPs to manage their CPD anytime, anywhere.
Available on both Android and iOS devices, the myCPD app enables them to track and browse hundreds of activities with filters for quick searching. It also allows them to log CPD hours and view their history.
My Home Hospital arrives at Southern Fleurieu
SA Health has announced the expansion of the My Home Hospital service to the Southern Fleurieu peninsula.
The service, which includes home visits from nurses and paramedics and 24/7 virtual care, is now available in ten towns of the region.
Delivered by Calvary Medibank Joint Venture, My Home Hospital provides public hospital-level care, including antibiotics administration and immediate post-operative care, that is delivered safely at home.
