"Our solutions will add a crucial link between patient monitoring, emergency alert systems, customer paging and high-security government systems to Amcom Software's industry-leading, mission-critical communications abilities," said Zane Lewis, president of CommTech Wireless.

CommTech Wireless, with offices in the United States, Australia, Hong Kong and Europe, will remain in place and become a division of AmCom Software, with Zane and CommTech CEO Nathan Buzza joining Amcom to lead the new division.  The 17-year-old company boasts more than 7,500 customers in 53 countries.

Amcom, in operation for more than 40 years, has products in use in more than 1,400 corporations and organizations, including several healthcare providers. The company recently acquired XTEND Communications and Telident E911.

"CommTech Wireless is an excellent fit for us," said Amcom Software CFO Dan Mayleben. "This move continues our strategy of growing by acquiring strong companies with complementary technologies, vertical strength and great people."
