Aetna expands quality data program
HARTFORD, CT – Health insurer Aetna said it will provide Web access to cost and quality data on individual doctors in Maine and in five new cities: Houston, Atlanta, Richmond, Va; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla. Doctor price information will be available in Utah.
With the addition of these locations, information is available in all or parts of 16 states and the District of Columbia, giving 3.5 million Aetna members price information on their local doctors, the company said. Clinical quality and efficiency information will be available for more than 22,000 specialist physicians; specific pricing will be available for more than 100,000 physicians.
