HIMSS15 will be a ‘coming out party’ for Cerner since its Siemens acquisition. As such, the company plans to bring along products for interoperability, revenue cycle, population health, and more.

The vendor’s sweeping EHR initiative with Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare will be in the spotlight, of course, but it's not the sole star in the Cerner galaxy. Cerner’s booth theme is Partner for the Future – one in which interoperability rules.

"We're using HIMSS as an opportunity to shape the narrative and definition around interoperability," said Leslie Mullins, Cerner's enterprise national sales director.

Interoperability is a strong thread that runs through the agenda at HIMSS15, but it's not Cerner’s sole focus. The Cerner booth, all 12,200 square feet of it, will be in the original Siemens space on the show floor.

Within that will be workflow areas that focus on Cerner's messaging and solutions and include home, ambulatory care (featuring physician specialties), hospital, revenue cycle, and population health with an emphasis on patient engagement.

Cerner can be found in multiple show locations, including the Interoperability Showcase, Intermountain Healthcare’s booth, with the Commonwell Health Alliance and, what’s more, 26 Cerner clients are leading educational sessions at HIMSS15.

Cerner’s booth, 913, is located in the South Building, Hall A.
