Greenway integrates CDS into PrimeSUITE 2011 EHR

DiagnosisONE, the clinical decision support and analytics firm, has announced that Greenway Medical Technologies has selected the company to provide clinical decision support for its EHR deployments. Through this relationship, Greenway will now seamlessly integrate DiagnosisONE’s CDS solutions into its ONC-ATCB-certified PrimeSUITE 2011 EHR solution to deliver real-time, patient-specific alerts at the point of care. The collaboration will enable customers to more easily satisfy the CDS requirements necessary for demonstrating Meaningful Use.

Merge Healthcare has announced that Radiology Associates of Sacramento (RAS), the largest private radiology practice in Northern California, has expanded their Merge solution suite to include Merge iConnect, an interoperability suite that allows providers to view current and historical images and content, regardless of the multiple applications in which the images are stored.

EXTENSION, INC. announced that the EXTENSION Mobile app for EXTENSION HealthAlert for Nurses and HealthAlert for Physicians has been approved and is now available on the Apple AppStore. The affordable bundled packages offer real-time clinical workflow communication solutions for enterprise healthcare organizations and more expressly, for physicians and nurses on their Apple iPhone or iPod Touch.

The TriZetto Group has announced the general availability of its CareAdvance Enterprise 4.71 suite of solutions, the newest version of its care management platform focused on helping health insurance payers improve care coordination efficiency, engage physicians at the point of care and prepare for ICD-10 mandates. In addition, the new version has been updated to enhance usability and scalability across the enterprise.

Covisint, a Compuware company, announced that it has won new business from Northeastern Pennsylvania Health Information Exchange (NEPA HIE) by enabling the first non-provider-based HIE in Pennsylvania with clinical messaging support. Now, with Covisint ExchangeLink, NEPA HIE physicians will receive the clinical and administrative information they need at the point of care, securely and efficiently.

Pulse Systems, Inc., a vendor of EHR and Practice Management solutions and Virginia Health Information Technology (VHIT), the official Regional Extension Center for the State of Virginia appointed by the Office of National Coordinator have signed a definitive agreement to provide Virginia Physicians with state-of-the-art Complete EHR technology.

Wolters Kluwer Health, a global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced that Lancaster Hospital has selected ProVation Order Sets, powered by UpToDate Decision Support, as the organization’s electronic order set solution. ProVation Order Sets, powered by UpToDate Decision Support, is an easily customizable order set authoring and management solution that provides flexible integration into clinical processes.

MED3OOO, maker healthcare management and technology products and services, announced that its InteGreat EHR V6.4 offering is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as a Complete EHR on January 7, 2011, by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

CareTech Solutions announced that it signed a five-year, comprehensive information technology outsourcing contract with San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center, a 57-bed regional medical center and level IV trauma center in Alamosa, Colo. CareTech’s full outsourcing contract with San Luis Valley includes IT infrastructure and application management (strategic planning, performance measurement, problem solving, testing and resolution), network and server monitoring, and a healthcare-specific help desk with clinician support available 24/7.

Management Health Solutions, a premiere, independent provider of supply chain optimization solutions for hospitals and healthcare systems nationwide, announced the launch of its latest application, Point-of-Use Bill-Only item software. This product is the newest addition to MHS’ suite of software modules, an end-to-end suite that provide hospitals with automation and optimization tools necessary to meet their clinical supply chain needs.

MedPlus, the healthcare information technology subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics, announced that its ChartMaxx enterprise-wide electronic patient record system has been ranked as the top healthcare Document Management and Imaging (DMI) software product, according to the 2010 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report. This is an independent ranking based on customer feedback on top healthcare information technology (HIT) vendors.
 
athenahealth, provider of web-based practice management, electronic health record, and patient communication services to medical groups, announced a strategic alliance with SynerMed, Inc., the leading government-program-focused managed services organization (MSO) in the country. As part of this alliance, SynerMed and athenahealth will jointly offer athenahealth’s EHR service, athenaClinicals, to SynerMed’s physician network of more than 7,000 providers throughout California.

DSS, Inc. announced that the Birmingham VA Medical Center, an acute tertiary care facility that serves the veteran population of Alabama, has selected its HB Mobile to provide an integrated mobile electronic health record (EHR) solution for its Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) nurse Case Managers. The Birmingham VAMC was selected in August 2009 by the Veterans Integrated Service Network 7 (VISN 7) to be the Alpha test site for HB Mobile.

CredenceHealth announced that CHlive 1.0 achieved certification for Meaningful Use in Clinical Quality Measures (i.e. eMeasures). CredenceHealth is the first real-time Clinical Surveillance solution to receive this stand-alone certification. CHlive 1.0 was certified as an EHR Module on January 6, 2011 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable eligible hospital certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of HHS.
 
Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and a maker of business-critical continuity, has extended electrically commutated plug fans to all down-flow models of Liebert CW and Liebert DS precision cooling systems to allow data centers of all sizes to automatically adjust cooling unit capacities to match the IT server demands and improve energy savings and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). The product extension is available in: North America, Central and Latin America, China, India and Asia-Pacific.
