Keith Zimmerman will take the helm as CEO of Medical City Arlington starting April 1. He succeeds Winston Borland, who will retire on March 31. Medical City Arlington is a 366-bed full-service hospital located in Arlington, Texas.

Zimmerman has served as CEO at Medical City Children's Hospital since 2013, where he guided women and children's services for the entire Medical City Healthcare division.

He also oversaw development of a $125 million women's hospital that's scheduled to open in 2018, as well as a 156,000-square-foot expansion of a new hospital tower, which opened in May 2016.

Under his leadership, Medical City Children's was ranked among the best children's hospitals in the country for the first time by U.S. News & World Report. The ranking came after the hospital broadened its urgent care network and increased the depth of physicians and specialists in women's services and pediatrics.

Zimmerman brings 26 years of healthcare experience to his new position. His priorities include strategic growth, collaboration with physicians across a complex array of specialties and providing exceptional patient and family care, he said.
