Froedtert Health invests in AVIA Innovator Network and creates Inception Health
Froedtert Health said on Friday it is making an equity investment in the AVIA Innovator Network, joining AVIA’s board of directors, and establishing an innovation lab called Inception Health.
“We have made a commitment to transform how healthcare is delivered, and in particular to improve the consumer experience,” Froedtert CEO Cathy Jacobson said in a statement.
Through the new Inception Health, Froedtert led AVIA’s most recent investment round as a member-owner. Additional member-owners participating in the round include long-standing partners and healthcare leaders: Providence Health and Services, which led AVIA's previous round, OSF HealthCare, and Rush University Medical Center.
AVIA will use the latest funding to further scale its provider network and drive adoption of technology solutions that solve healthcare challenges, AVIA CEO and co-founder Eric Langshur said in a statement.
Some of the areas that Inception Health is exploring with AVIA, Langshur noted, include patient experience, post-acute care, and behavioral health.
Members of the AVIA Innovator Network, like Froedtert, work together to address shared challenges such as patient satisfaction and post-acute care.
Leveraging AVIA’s technology sourcing and implementation planning, strategic opportunity mapping and innovation competency building, Froedtert and other members engage with national thought leaders and innovators across the industry, he said. The goal is to accelerate its own transformation to more consumer-driven healthcare.
“Our goal,” Langshur said, “is to harness all of that knowledge and share it across the network so collectively, they move faster.”
