Cardiovascular Consultants launches new EHR
Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group, a Los Angeles-based care provider, has deployed a new electronic health record.
With their implementation, CCMG hopes to be on the leading edge of IT adoption. The group specializes in consultative and interventional cardiology that includes focuses in cardiac electrophysiology with laboratories offering echocardiography services. The e-Medsys EHR will be available across the medical group's five office locations encompassing 13 physicians and four nurse practitioners.
CCMG selected the e-Medsys Electronic Health Record, developed by PracticeOne. e-Medsys encompasses an EHR, a practice management solution, patient access portal and e-prescribing software, to be provided to all specialty offices under CCMG.
The group has worked with PracticeOne in the past and has experience with other software solutions from the company, said CCMG's Matthew Schwinger, MD. The product has moved CCMG closer to the next stage of practice automation, a press release stated.
"We expect the transition to PracticeOne's EHR to be a smooth one. We are ready to be part of the 21st century," said Kelli Nicholas, practice administrator of CCMG.
