“The neat thing about our IT department at Blessing is that we truly work with a sense of teamwork. We all work together to do what is right for our customers – whether it is the patients or the clinicians,” says Jessica Dalheim, information systems supervisor. 

“The nice thing about teamwork is that you always have others on your side," she adds.

Indeed, each IT staffer knows there are 69 other professionals who can be called upon to help meet customer needs – making it possible to solve any problem in quick order.

This one-for-all approach also extends beyond the hospital, as staff members often participate in various events in the community. For example, a group of employees recently participated in a “mud run” at the county fair, while a number of other staff members cheered them on from the sidelines.

Leaders also have created a welcoming environment in the IT department. A popcorn machine sits at the department’s help desk – creating a festive atmosphere for all.
