HealthFusion's MediTouch is an integrated, cloud-based EHR, practice management system, claims clearinghouse and patient portal.

"MediTouch offers the specifications AAFP members need," HealthFusion Chairman Sol Lizerbram, DO, said in announcing the agreement with AAFP. "The system was founded and created by family physicians with the goal of enhancing the practice of medicine and improving provider workflows. We are honored that we now have the opportunity to associate with AAFP and its membership."

He said the MediTouch team has worked closely with family physicians to engineer a Family Practice EHR system that anticipates their practice patterns and offers a flexible framework for custom, easy charting. "Family Medicine is finally being recognized for its critical contribution to the healthcare delivery system and we expect the role of family physicians to become even more prominent in the coming years as the nation transitions to alternative payment models," Lizerbram added.
