HIMSS is accepting speaker proposals for the Digital and Personal Connected Health @ HIMSS 17 event in Orlando on Feb. 19-20. The event is a collaboration between MobiHealthNews and the Personal Connected Health Alliance (PCHA).
The two-day event will include keynotes, leadership panels, and case studies. Sessions will explore the promise of digital/connected health and demonstrate how innovative healthcare organizations are using apps, patient generated health data, telemedicine and remote patient-monitoring initiatives to improve care, reduce the cost of healthcare, and engage patients.
Digital health is a tool, not an end in itself. With that in mind, we want presentations that demonstrate one or more of digital health’s five key value propositions.
-
Access – Increasing access to healthcare services for low income, rural, and other underserved demographics.
-
Strategy – Using apps, smart phones, remote patient monitoring, etc., to meet business goals.
-
Convenience – Leveraging a consumer-health mindset (convenience versus loyalty) to reach different consumer/patient segments how they prefer – millennials and seniors, for example.
-
Efficiency – Allowing healthcare organizations to provide more and better services without increasing staff.
-
Technology infrastructure – What’s required to integrate connected health with an organization’s EMR and other existing technology?
Case studies that demonstrate measurable outcomes are a priority for this event.
Proposals are limited to payer and provider organizations, government agencies, associations, and academic institutions. Proposals from vendors, except on behalf of a payer or provider customers, are not accepted.
